Boy Scouts of America Scoutmaster
Boys actively involved in Scouting are naturally inquisitive and eager to learn. They benefit most by discovery. The Scoutmaster is responsible for training and guiding youth leaders in the operation of the troop, and for managing, training, and supporting his or her assistant Scoutmasters in their role.
Through team-building workshops, program planning conferences, monthly patrol leaders' councils, weekly troop meetings, camping trips, and especially the Scoutmaster's own interest in the accomplishments of the troop's boys, this adult volunteer plays an important role in molding the character that makes for great scouts and great adults. Scoutmasters are chosen by local sponsoring organizations with the approval of the national council.
This coin salutes the contribution these adults make to Boy Scouts.
This coin is minted in a proprietary brass alloy, given an antique finish and is selectively imbued with durable high-gloss enamel. The reverse has an area that is ready for engraving. This coin comes packaged in a polybag with a header card.
